If you thought the hype around Drake’s early mix tapes and subsequent solo debut was crazy enough, it’s nothing compared to the buzz around his latest effort. Now officially Canada’s biggest rapper, with the platinum sales to prove it, it appears the whole hip-hop community are clamouring for a piece of the action. Consequently Take Care combines guest spots from a fearsome roll-call of A-list talent, including Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Rihanna, with cameos from more leftfield acts like The Weeknd and Jamie xx. It’s credit to Drake’s talent then that at no point is he upstaged on his second solid offering of emo-hip-hop.
