Wisely, following 2001’s Rock Steady, the lads in the band let the good lady go it alone and, having got the solo thing out of her system, she’s now returned to the fold. The question is, can these 40-somethings cut it against the current crop of embryonic pop princes and princesses? Of course they can! Hell, thanks to the likes of Major Lazer and M.I.A., electro-dancehall mash-ups have never been hotter, making Push and Shove anything but anachronistic.
