About The Duke Spirit

Although their striking lead singer Liela Moss is the focal point, the Duke Spirit is a band, and a popular one at that, in their native UK and amongst the US indie-intelligentsia. Playing a spirited melding of Northern Soul, garage punk, and noisy shoegaze, the band has released two albums and a slew of singles and EPs. They have also impressed sizable crowds at Coachella and as the opening act for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, with whom they share a similar gleefully raucous vibe.
