7digital offer an internship scheme to anyone wishing to gain experience in the digital music industry. Whether you have previous experience or not these fantastic opportunities will allow you to develop your skills in this rapidly changing and exciting environment.

You will be working closely with department heads on real projects where you will see the immediate results and difference your work makes.

As standard our internship schemes are normally done so on a voluntary basis though we do offer some paid placements and will depend on candidate and companies requirements at time of application. For all unpaid placements we do offer reimbursement of local travel expenses* and give a lunch allowance**.

We are very flexible in our approach to interns and do not work to specific timeframes. We look at each application on a case by case basis so please feel free to ask us exactly what you require and what you wish to get out of your time with us and we will do our best to try and accommodate you.

We do get many applications for this scheme so unfortunately it is not always possible to respond therefore if you have not had a reply within 4 weeks of applying please assume you have been unsuccessful.

Requirements: We ask that you a hard-working and fun individual have a willingness to learn and an ability to multitask. Good PC skills are a must and previous experience is an advantage but above all, a passion for all things digital.

* travel expenses will be refunded up to and including London Zones 1-6

What is an internship at 7digital?

An internship at 7digital is a voluntary work placement in the department stated at time of application. We have internships available in the following departments: Development, Content, Marketing and Production.

How long is an internship?

7digital are very flexible in their approach to interns and prefer to offer terms on a case by case basis so it is important to state your availability at the time of your initial application.

When will the internship start?

Internships are available year round and do not following a set structure. Please state your preferred start date in your initial application.

Is an internship full or part time?

As standard we would expect all interns to work full-time however exceptions can be made. Please state your availability at the time of your initial application.

What are full-time working hours?

The 7digital working week is Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 6.00pm with 1 hour for lunch.

Where is the internship based?

Our internships are based at our head office in Zetland House, LONDON EC2 www.zetlandhouse.com

Will I get paid?

Most internships are done so on a voluntary basis although some paid placements are available but will depend on candidate and the companies requirements at time of application. All unpaid placements will receive travel expenses (up to and including London Zones 1-6) and lunch (£5 each day worked).

How do I apply?

To apply please send a copy of your most recent CV together with a covering letter explaining why you are applying and what exactly you are looking for. Then e-mail in Word format to internships@7digital.com. Important: Please write the word ‘INTERNSHIP’ in the subject field, followed but the internship position you are seeking. If you do not your application risks being deleted.

Could an internship lead to a job offer at 7digital?

An internship will not automatically guarantee you a job at 7digital but if a relevant vacancy becomes available your experience will benefit your application.

Will you provide me with a reference when I leave?

Yes, 7digital will be more than happy to provide a reference and complete any other documentation necessary if relevant to a course being undertaken.
