MOBO Awards 2012

The MOBOs were set up in 1996 to honour Music of Black Origin, and were soon established as one of the most respected awards shows in the UK. In their 17th year they’re more open-minded than ever, celebrating everyone from African artists to homegrown, urban talent, and highlighting genres as diverse as hip hop and jazz.
As we predicted, the all-conquering Emeli Sandé was the big winner at this year’s event, scooping a hat trick of prizes, including the coveted ‘Best Album’ award.
