Weezer - Pinkerton

The follow up to 1994's 'Weezer' saw the band reconvene after a year's hiatus during which main man Rivers Cuomo returned to finish his degree at Harvard. The album has a slightly darker and more aggressive tone than its predecessor (aided by the absence of ex-bassist Matt Sharp who'd left to form The Rentals). However the album still contains powerful melodic hooks, with it's darker side being more prevalent in the less polished production and album's lyrics.
