7digital announces global HD music partnership with hi-fi giant Onkyo
e-onkyo music service to expand internationally using 7digital’s platform
London, 30 May 2014: 7digital, the world’s leading open digital music platform, and Onkyo, one of the world’s foremost creators of innovative home entertainment products, announced today that they have entered into a global partnership. Together they will bring e-onkyo music, the most successful high definition digital music store in Japan, to Europe and the US.
An extensive upgrade to 7digital’s platform and catalogue will create the most comprehensive service offering of HD digital music content available. The e-onkyo music services will begin to roll out in the coming months.

As part of the deal with Onkyo, 7digital will be responsible for all music rights negotiations, content management and reporting. Onkyo will use the advanced capabilities built into the 7digital technology platform and growing FLAC catalogue to ensure Onkyo device users have seamless access to high fidelity audio systems.
