7digital What we said: Madonna and Lady GaGa might have tried every trick in the book to outshine her, but in our humble opinion Debbie Harry is unequivocally the coolest peroxide princess to have ever graced the charts. Impressive then, considering it’s been over thirty years since she first caused trouser-rumblings in every heterosexual male on the planet. Three decades since the seminal Parallel Lines, the new wave New Yorkers are still rocking, following up 2003’s The Curse of Blondie with their ninth studio album, Panic of Girls. And as the reggae rhythms of ‘The Tide is High’-esque ‘The End The End’ and the spacey, synth-romp of ‘D-Day’ show, there’s clearly plenty of life in the old girl yet.
